What Am I Supposed to Do Now?

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5 (NLT)

Have you ever been faced with a situation that seems utterly hopeless?  You ever felt like you were grasping and pleading with God to give you some direction?  I know that I have.  He has this all under control.  When you are feeling hopeless, then he has a plan for you.  He is merely wanted to draw you closer to himself.  In the following verse, it says that God will make your path clear.  It is about trust.  When everything is falling apart around you, then the only thing to do is to trust that God knows what he is doing.  Don't rely on your own limited human understanding.  In our minds there are limits, but with God he is boundless.  When everything looks its darkest, he is still working out his plans for you.  When you can not see the light at the end of the tunnel, God sees the light.  He is the light.  He is the answer to your hopelessness.  Sometimes when we are at our weakest, he is the only thing that can get us to get out of bed in the morning.  I don't know what will happen today or tomorrow, but I know that God knows.  I just wish that in my most anxious that was enough to calm my hearts.  We are prone to worry.  It is a part of our sinful nature.  It is that feeling deep inside us that maybe God is not acting in our best interest.  Worry is a form of pride.  I wish I had a secret recipe of how to trust God, when it is the darkest.  Even when I am praying, that worry creeps in.  I pray harder.  I repeat to God all of the promises that he has made to me.  I remind myself of his faithfulness.  He has gotten me this far, and he will not leave me now.  He has promised to be with me.  He has promised to carry my burdens.  The trick is to not pick those burdens up again.  Trust in God, don't trust  in your human senses.  His will defies even our five senses.  He has a power that we have yet to fully appreciate.  He can bring hope, not only to the hopeless, but to hopeless situations.  When you think that there is no hope, there is God to work a miraculous work.  He loves to show his power to us.  All we have to do is to trust him.
