Is There More Than One God? #ChristianBlogger

Is there more than one God?

There is only one, the living and true God.

There is only one God.  There are many gods, but only one true and living God.  All others are created in the minds of men.  There is one God, uncreated and everlasting.  God is the sole originator of all things.  He created everything "Ex Nihilo", or out of nothing.  Everything that he has created, was created for his glory.  All of nature acknowledges it's creator.  Jesus said that if he were to silence the crowds, that even the rocks would cry out.  All of creation groans in eager anticipation for when their creator will return and set all of his creation back into that perfect peace that was lost in Eden.

God created men in his own image.  Men have attempted to fashion gods in THEIR own image.  In man's rebellion he has taken God's creation to fashion gods for himself.  These gods will never replace the everlasting God.  Man's gods have ears that cannot see, and ears that cannot hear, and hearts that are unable to love.  These gods are nothing and serve only to soothe the hearts of rebellious men, who dare not approach the throne of Almighty God.

We are told that the Philistines captured the Ark of the Covenant.  The Ark represented the presence of God among his people.  The ark was taken into the temple of Dagon.  When the people awoke and entered the temple, they found their god prostrate before the ark.  They replaced the idol only to wake once more to find their god in worship of the only true God.

There is only one God.  All of creation shudders at his word.  Man in his rebellion is the only creature to reject God's authority.
