Did our first parents remain as they were created?
Left to the freedom of their own wills, our first parents sinned against God and fell from their original condition.
To truly honor their Creator, our first parents would have to make a free choice to submit themselves to their Creator. Adam and Eve placed in a beautiful garden. They were surrounded with the beauty of all of God's creation. They were provided everyone of needs met from the very hand of their Creator. In the middle of the garden stood the true test of their submission to their Creator. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil was the only thing that our first parents were denied. All though our first parents were lacking for nothing, they looked upon that tree and believed that God was holding out on them. Surrounded by all of God's creation, they doubted the goodness and sufficiency of their Creator. God had one thing that he was withholding from them. They came to believe that their was more that God was keeping from them. The lie of the serpent promised them that if they would partake of that which God had withhold, that they would become like God. Pride was the first sin and continues to be the greatest fault of man in general. We as men believe that we have the ability to be a king onto ourselves. We desire to cast aside our Creator, and to install ourselves as his replacement. Seeing all that God had given them, our first parents rejected the rightful rule of our Creator, and in that first act of rebellion installed themselves as the ruler of his own world. This was the first and greatest coup in the history of the world. Our first parents fell from their state of innocence and began the first and greatest civil war that the world has ever seen, or ever will.
